Humanitraian aid to Haiti

On behalf of the Central Administraton of Hellenic Rescue Team we would like to inform you that at 06:30 (local time), 21th of January 2010 a group of volunteers,  of Hellenic Rescue Team, will depart from Thessalonik1 to approach Haiti.

A team of 10 members of HRT has the goal to cooperate with other international organizations that already have the support of medical group that developed to relief the victims of the devastating earthquake. An emergency radionetwork  will be setup to help the communication of international rescue and humanitarian organizations in VHF UHF HF and satellite telecommunication. Also the team will prepare the radio network for the cooperation between the Greek MFA mission and other Greek NGO’s   that will arrive in next days.

Additional, there will be an assessment on ways to relief the Haitian people as well as to create a facility of psychological support especially to children
