HRT is honored to be hosting the annual convention of the International Maritime Rescue Federation (IMRF) which will take place in Thessaloniki, in November 2024.
More than five hundred delegates from all over the world are expected to participate in the International Congress for Alpine Rescue by the International Comission for Alpine Rescue (ICAR), which will be hosted by the Hellenic Rescue Team in Thessaloniki, in October 2024.
First responders play a prominent and essential role in the everyday situations of all civil society; and among all services they provide are law enforcement, fire suppression, and emergency medical services (EMS).
The Hellenic Rescue Team and the partners of the European Project SILVANUS will organize an open workshop on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 18.00, at the Thessaloniki Municipality (Manolis Anagnostakis Hall), to present the project and the digital technologies developed within its framework for the effective management of forest fires.
Tonight, 30 members of the Hellenic Rescue Team from all over Greece will depart from Thessaloniki to assist with search and rescue operations in Turkey's earthquake-affected regions.
More than 70 stakeholders, partners and HRT volunteers participated in the pilot exercise, which simulated an aircraft crush, conducted on Saturday, November 12th on Mount Chortiatis, in Thessaloniki. The pilot was part of the H2020 European Project "Search & Rescue".
Effective training practices are essential for professionals and volunteers that engage in Search and Rescue operations. They can enhance the capabilities of responders by preparing them to face critical situations while maximising their safety during missions.
Funded by the EU Horizon 2020 Green Deal program and coordinated by Università Telematica Pegaso, SILVANUS project includes 49 partners from the European Union, Brazil, Indonesia, and Australia, for a period of 42 months.
RESCUER aims to design and develop a First-Responder-centered technology toolkit that will empower the next generation of First Responders (FR)
Hellenic Rescue Team, along with a multidisciplinary, international consortium of 18 partners, coordinated by the AIT – Austrian Institute of Technology, Center for Technology Experience, participates in the European project MED1stMR
