The Norwegian organization for maritime rescue RS supports the effort of the Lesvos HRT for "Love Knots"

The effort of the Hellenic Rescue Team of Lesvos to help with love packages to needy families on the island, was strengthened by the Norwegian Organization for sea rescue, RS, with which the HRT is twinned.

The crew of the Norwegian vessel "Peter Henry Von Kos", which has been assisting since June in refugee rescue operations in Lesvos, was informed of the action "Knots of Love" organized by HRT of Lesvos that has been running now for 15 years and in turn informed their colleagues in Oslo. The RS staff, impressed by the assistance provided by the residents of Lesbos and HRT of Lesvos on the refugee issue, decided to help the action and within a few days only they raised the amount of EUR 2,700. This amount was delivered yesterday to members of Lesvos HRT. With this amount of money the members, all volunteers of the HRT of Lesvos will purchase food and toys, which will be given during Christmas to families who need them.

It is worth mentioning that last year the HRT of Lesvos delivered, during the Christmas celebrations, Love Packages to over 300 families in Lesvos. The goal this year is to help even more families.
