Forest fires a focal point at the HRT event at the Thessaloniki International Trade Fair

In the framework of the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair, the Hellenic Rescue Team (HRT) organised on Monday 9 September an information event dedicated to forest fires, with emphasis on the European SILVANUS project and the innovative technologies it develops for more effective management and prevention of fires.

During the event, a practical demonstration of first aid for burns and smoke inhalation was carried out, while attendees had the opportunity to be trained in the use of a fire extinguisher through a simulated virtual fire. In addition, the application developed under the SILVANUS project was presented, offering citizens an integrated solution for fire prevention and response.

The event was attended by 40 citizens, while the action was also covered by state television, providing broader information and awareness on this important issue.
