HRT will be hosting the IMRF annual meeting in Greece

The Hellenic Rescue Team is honored to be hosting the annual convention of the International Maritime Rescue Federation (IMRF), which will take place in Thessaloniki, in November 2024.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the International Maritime Rescue Federation founding and we are thrilled that this significant gathering will be held in our country. This year's meeting's main theme is "Maritime Search and Rescue (SAR) Everywhere and at All Times."

Being the only IMRF member in Greece, the Hellenic Rescue Team has a long history of active participation in maritime search and rescue operations.

The members of the Water Rescue Department receive specialized training of high standards according to the global standards of the IMO - International Maritime Organization, while they make sure to follow all the latest developments of maritime search and rescue. In addition, significant efforts are constantly being made to renew HRT’s equipment and fleet, so that all volunteer rescuers are able to operate even in the most demanding conditions.

The meeting will be conducted in 27th and 28th November 2024.
